'POST' REVIEW Smallfish Anyone familiar with Matt Rosner's superb release on Room40 will be delighted to discover this gem from London-based 12x50 recordings. One of the limited series of Carbon releases it features a distinctly abstract but very satisfying collection of Electronica tracks that range from deliberately obtuse to flowing and mildy glitchy. Rosner's penchant for timestretching and manipulating sounds pays big dividends here as it creates an unreal sense of time to most of the pieces. Clicks, data errors and pure touches of atmosphere combine with ease and grace to dislocate the listener. As such, you'll find this to be an intriguing listen as much as it can be a challenge as well. Beautifully packaged and recorded to perfection, this is leftfield electronic music at its finest.
